Antioch Missionary Baptist Church

FIRST LADY LINDA MATHIS

First Lady Linda Mathis

I believe the calling of all Christians is in Christ Jesus

“who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according

to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which

was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.”

                                                                                                                              II Timothy 1:9

First Lady Linda Mathis is a native of Natchitoches, Louisiana. She is a retired employee of  Proctor & Gamble, having worked from April 1986 to July 2014. She currently serves as a fitness leader with Louisiana Athletic Club since October 2015.

Sister Mathis earned an associate degree in Business Administration from Northwestern State University in 2005. Wanting to truly understand God's Word as it is being delivered prompted her to enroll in theology classes where she obtained a Certificate of Theology in 2012 from Grace School of Theology. She has continued her quest for indepth biblical knowledge and will be receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies in May, 2020, also from Grace School of Theology.

Besides her husband and immediate family, First Lady's main concern is for the youth of Antioch, where she serves as ministry leader. She has been instrumental in overseeing various youth programs, taking particular pride in Kids Across America, a youth encampment program held yearly in Branson, Missouri.

Sister Mathis' peaked interest in the study of the bible has lead her to sponsor several women's bible study classes including the Book of Daniel and the Book of Esther. She has also co-established a Discipleship Ministry aimed toward understanding the true concept of "What Would Jesus Do?"

First Lady actively participates in the Ministers Wives & Widows Conferences at the state and national level and is the founder of "Calling All Sisters". This conference is held once a year and always includes great speakers that focus on the empowerment of women to do the works of the Lord "for such a time as this."

Sister Mathis and Pastor Mathis are very proud of their children and she looks forward to every opportunity to spend time with their wonderful and smart grandchildren.
